Hey everyone, this has really been a lot of fun seeing all the amazing talent come through the SOM auditions! Once again, thank you for putting yourself out there. It's not an easy thing to do! And you all did an amazing job! Martino, Seth and I were sooooooo impressed! Not just by the talent, but how you conducted yourselves during this very grueling and sometimes frustrating process. I am proud of each and every one of you. I'm proud to be your director and this show is going to be amazing!
I'm sure many of you are anxious, and as promised, I'm hoping to post the cast list tomorrow. YOWZER....We had over 150 people audition! That makes it really tough on us directors as we try to go through all of them. It's extremely hard because there are so many qualified people for so few major roles. I wish I could cast you all...... but unfortunately I can't. And that's the part of the job I don't like....because I know there will be some disappointment. I know many of you have had your hearts set on getting a certain part and for some of you it's going to work out. But for some it won't. I wish I could change that. I really do. If you find that you are one of the disappointed, please think about Maria and how much she wanted to be a nun...... God had another plan. He's mysterious and sometimes for reasons all His own, he leads us down a different path. Don't be afraid to take it. You just might find (like Maria) that it's going to be an awesome journey!
